A Perfect Storm (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #4) Another huge hit for me with this last installment of the series! I know everyone is swooning over Spencer, but what made this book so great for me was hands down Arizona. I had really high expectations for the conclusion of the series, and Foster didnt disappoint me in the least A Perfect Storm (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #4) by Lori Foster

After the End (After the End, #1) Gr 6-12 -- When is an apocalypse not an apocalypse? When it’s a lie told to an isolated community living off the land. Juneau has grown up off the grid in a hunter-gatherer colony at the base of Denali Mountain in Alaska, convinced that she and her clan are the last civilized survivors of World War Three. But as she is out hunting one day, she sees a helicopter, and, returning to camp as quickly as she can, finds her entire clan, including her mentor, the powerful Whit, missing After the End (After the End, #1) by Amy Plum

A Game of High Stakes Did I just order a shirt with Draco Malfoy’s face on it because I, an almost 38 year old woman, am lusting after yet another fictional character?….No, of course I didn’t 😬Clearly I am firmly in my #dramione era and I am not mad about it. While Manacled left me an utter husk of myself, A Game of High Stakes left me pretty content! We still have enemies to lovers, we’re still in the middle of war and we’ve still lost beloved characters (RIP Ron!), but it never feels quite as hopeless as Manacled did. I liked how the relationship between Hermione and Draco evolved A Game of High Stakes by In_Dreams

The Devil Duke Takes a Bride (The House of Renwick, #4) This by far was my favorite book of the setting era. This book was so well written I cried, and Im dead serious when I say that I cried The Devil Duke Takes a Bride (The House of Renwick, #4) by Rachel Van Dyken

Mindfulness for Beginners: Reclaiming the Present Moment―and Your Life A really helpful and digestable primer for anyone interested in bringing more awareness and mindfulness to their life. Jon Kabat-Zinn writes about mindfulness in a really accessible way, and I think he’s one of the best writers on the topic. This is a good introduction to his work, with my favorite of his being “Wherever You Go, There You Are,” which was a life-changing read for me. Highly recommend his work Mindfulness for Beginners: Reclaiming the Present Moment―and Your Life by Jon Kabat-Zinn

The Collapsing Empire (The Interdependency, #1) I tried repeatedly to read and finish this book, but finally gave up at 25 percent (DNF). Look I like John Scalzi a lot. I loved "Redshirts" and "Lock In", but this book right here is all the worst bits of "The Androids Dream" and I refuse to read that book ever again. I think the biggest issue of why I couldnt get into this book is that I felt like I just got dropped right in the middle of an interesting story. But no one wants to take the time to explain to me why this story is so interesting and just wants me to shut up and get the big picture of whatever it is I am reading The Collapsing Empire (The Interdependency, #1) by John Scalzi
